The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde unite the Umpqua, Molalla, Rogue River, Kalapuya, and Chasta peoples. Rooted in ancestral lands across western Oregon, northern California, and southwest Washington, CTGR celebrates a rich cultural heritage, fosters community well-being, and champions environmental stewardship for future generations.

Our Language
The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde are dedicated to revitalizing the use of Chinuk Wawa, a heritage language that embodies our identity, through immersive educational experiences, a language app, and supplemental resources.

Meet Your Tribal Council

The Council is composed of nine members, each serving staggered three-year terms. Every year, three Council seats are up for re-election, with nominations taking place in late June and elections held in early September.

- GRAND RONDE LIVING and ENROLLED TRIBAL MEMBERS ONLY. Must show current photo I.D.

- Fish will be handed out in a drive through system. Please follow the signage up the hill to the fish lab, receive your fish and then follow the exit loop road out.

- If picking up for others: A Signed release and copy of Tribal ID or CIB is required!

- No early or late pickups and fish will not be mailed. Fish cannot be picked up in both Grand Ronde and Portland.

Vision for Willamette Falls Property
On August 15, 2019, the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde purchased a 23-acre property at Willamette Falls that was formerly home to a Blue Heron Paper Company mill. The property, which sits on the east bank of the Willamette River in Oregon City, is located within the Tribe’s ancestral homelands land and holds significant historical and cultural importance for the Tribe.

CTGR has a variety of projects under development, allowing the Tribe to expand its ties throughout its homelands, extend services to its members, and diversify the Tribe’s economic base.

Tribal leaders from the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde (CTGR) gathered on Tuesday, September 21 to commemorate the beginning of on-site demolition work at the former Blue Heron paper mill in Oregon City.

Chachalu Cultural Center & Museum
The vision of the Museum is to tell the story of the resiliency of the land and of the people who have lived here since time immemorial. The land, once devastated by fire, is now revitalized with healthy forests and abundant wildlife. Our salmon have once again returned to our streams; the Grand Ronde people, once uprooted from their various homelands and then Terminated by the federal government, are renewed through Restoration. This is a center for cultural activity where the Tribe’s stories, history, and culture continue to be practiced and shared.
